Do we need to add a current MPIN to view restricted documents on SAM.gov?

Currently, access to restricted documents is controlled by the contracting officer for each notice. If you are unable to immediately view a notice attachment, the system will prompt you to provide a reason for access.

The MPIN is for entity registration validation, which is another part of SAM.gov.
